Organic pigments are insoluble organic substances which are usually added to a substrate in a highly dispersed state to colour the substrate. The fundamental difference between organic pigments and dyes is that dyes are soluble in the dyeing medium used, whereas pigments are not soluble in the medium in which they are used nor in the substrate being coloured. Many pigments and dyes are identical in chemical structure and can be transformed into each other by using different methods, for example, certain reduction dyes and sulphide reduction dyes can be used as fibre dyes if they are reduced to cryptochromes; if they are not reduced, they can be used as pigments in high grade inks. Organic pigments are widely used in inks, paints, coatings, synthetic fibres, as well as in the printing of fabrics, plastics, rubber and leather, with the largest amount of pigments used in inks.
Application:
1.Printing ink: suitable for solvent-based gravure printing ink and rubber letterpress packaging printing ink, color paste, color sheet, with high coloring power, high gloss characteristics, but also has excellent chemical rheology and flocculation stability.
2.Paint and coatings: high-grade exterior wall coatings, high-grade decorative paint, electrical coatings, coil coatings, etc., with: easy dispersion, high concentration, good weather resistance.
3.Plastics: suitable for PVC, PS, PO, PC, PBT, Rubber and Synthetic Fiber raw pulp coloring, with thermal stability, strong coloring power, migration resistance, high sun fastness.
