Product Description

Matrine is extracted from the dried roots, plants and fruits of the legume Sophora flavescens Ait by ethanol and other organic solvents. 
Fruit alkaloids, oxysophocarpine, sophoridine and other alkaloids, with the highest content of matrine and oxymatrine. Other sources are Sophora subprostrata (shandougen), and the aerial parts of Sophora alopecuroides.

The efficacy and role of Matrine Powder 99%: 
Diuretic effect
As a medicinal plant, Sophora flavescens has a history of more than 2,000 years in my country according to written records. 
Anti-pathogen effect
Decoction in test tube, high concentration (1:100) has inhibitory effect on Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Decoction (8%) decoction has different degrees of inhibition on some common skin fungi in vitro.
Other functions
Matrine injection in rabbits: found the phenomenon of central nervous system paralysis, convulsions, and finally died of respiratory arrest. Injected into frogs: initially excited, then paralyzed, breathing becomes slow and irregular, and finally convulsions occur, resulting in death by cessation of breathing. The onset of the spasticity is due to spinal reflexes.
Anti-hepatitis B and C virus effects of oxymatrine
Oxymatrine shows potent antiviral activity against HBV in vitro and in animal models, and also has anti-HBV effects in humans. There have been many reports for the treatment of chronic viral hepatitis.
