Product Description

White to light yellow powder. Easy to dissolve in water, hot ethanol, slowly soluble in cold water, cold ethanol, its aqueous solution is strongly alkaline to phenolphthalein or litmus; Its solution is weakly alkaline when exposed to phenolphthalein.

Application

Potassium stearate is a surfactant; Fiber softener. As an anionic surfactant, it is widely used in acrylic rubber soap/sulfur co vulcanization systems. Commonly known as potassium soap or soft soap, it is mainly used in cream and shampoo cosmetics as an emulsifier and detergent. It has high emulsification efficiency, but is sensitive to hard water and can form calcium soap with hard water, causing the emulsion to deform or break. It is a calcium sensitive emulsifier, so attention should be paid in the production process of cosmetics.
